Today I am selling a great pair of 15ct gold Victorian cufflinks. Each cuff link is formed by connecting two football shaped discs with three links of gold chain. The discs are made of smooth gold with no decoration except for a bezel set pearl or turquoise cabochon in the center. The backs are slightly curved with tiny holes on each end. Every disc is stamped '15ct' for 15 carat gold twice on the back.
CONDITION: Good for their age. Light scratches, minor tarnish, and a few dents on the front of the discs and some minor dents on the backs. The turquoise cabs are discolored around the edges from glue and have natural flaws. The pearls also have residue around the edges and light nacre wear. Solder where the loops attach on the backs, probably from a repair.
CIRCA: Late Victorian era
MEASUREMENTS: each disc is almost 5/8 of an inch long and a little over 3/8 of an inch wide; total weight is 4.4 grams
