Today I am selling a beautiful Edwardian 9ct gold pendant. A thin navette of faceted ruby glass is bezel set in a raised gold setting. Lining the curved, open design around the paste stone are seed pearls set into the gold. It is hallmarked '9ct', for 9 karat gold, on the back. The loop at the top is connected to an oval jump ring bail which is original to the piece.
CONDITION: Very good for its age. No chips or cracks to the ruby paste. Minor tarnish to the gold, darkening it to an overall light brown. Nacre wear and discoloration to the seed pearls, but none are missing.
CIRCA: Edwardian era
MEASUREMENTS: a little over 1 1/4 inches tall (including jump ring) and 1/2 an inch at its widest; weighs 1.45 grams
