Today I am selling a sweet Victorian 10k gold brooch. A yellow gold wishbone is enhanced by a detailed five petal flower on top of it. The flower has a small irregularly shaped pearl in its center and a gold stem that curves away. It is not hallmarked but acid tests positive for 10 karat gold. The pin is a little loose but stays closed securely in the early safety clasp.
CONDITION: Very good for its age. The yellow gold seems to be a wash since it is worn away in a few spots around the edges showing rose gold underneath. Very little nacre wear to the pearl, but there is one dark spot on it. Minor tarnish to the 10k gold on the petals, especially in the grooves.
CIRCA: Late Victorian era
MEASUREMENTS: a little over 1 3/16 inches long and a little over 1/2 an inch at its widest; weighs 1.6 grams
