An interesting Chinese pottery figure of an attendant on horseback. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.
The attendant could be an official whose job it was to announce his masters messages to the people - he wears some sort of funnel in his hand to amplify his voice.
A fine style pottery figure with many details, mostly pigmented colors, but the harness and the funnel are glazed in green and yellow colours.
Size: c. 32 cm high and 23-24 cm long.
Condition: A very choice figure with signs of age and wear.
