A truely spectacular tomb pottery model of a rich court house or mansion, in the Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.
We've seen and sold a few Court houses before and they have all consisted of 4 houses and 4 walls. This specimen consists of no less than 6 buildings and 4 pieces of wall.
A beautyful set that consist of: The gate house with a large two-door gate (18,7 cm. wide and 30 cm. high, the premier house at the back (23,5 cm. wide and 34 cm. high), two large houses with 4 doors (23 cm. wide and 30 cm. high), and two houses with three doors (19 cm. wide and 29 cm. high) There's two smaller walls and two large walls as seen in the pictures. The Court House also comes with the original pottery screen (28 cm. high and 21 cm. wide) which would have been placed just behind the gate so that visitors could not the interiour. Wonderful decorations all in Sancai colours.
Condition: Choice! The Mansion is complete with all it's parts. All buildings are intact and unrepaired. Repair of a couple of minor corners chips on one of walls and Screen.
Several typical flaws and cracks from the proces of making as is usual from Ming Dynasty, but othervise really superb condition! Rarity: Such complete 6-building courthouse is extremely rare and will become a good investment
