A very scarce and beautiful Chinese pottery tomb figure of a female rider / Attendant on horseback, Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.
This figure is TL Tested (termoluminiscense) by Ralf Kotalla Laboratory as ca. 580 years old (see picture of the report), thus dating it around 1440 AD.
The fine figure glazed and painted with pigment in blue cobolt, torquise, black and red. She has an elaborate high headdress and was made with many finely painted details, high quality.
Size: 28 cm. high and ca. 24 cm. long.
Condition: Choice, intact with typical flaws and surface cracks from the making, in very good condition for the type.
