A lifesize Sino-Tibetan bronze or cobber model of a Skull, dating to the Qing Dynasty, later 19th. century.
Made in solid bronze or copper, cast from a real skull and gilted with a very thick layer of gold.
Old and rare, from Buddhist / Tibetan rituals.
Size: 23,5 cm. long and ca. 18,5 cm. high from the jaw to the top of the skull.
Weight: ca. 3,2-3,3 kilograms.
Very heavy and spectacular piece and the first ever we've seen.
Condition: Choice, ungilted in the bottom and with a wonderful brown patina.
