A Roman silver seal ring with Carnelian Intaglio, Early Imperial Roman, 1st.-2nd. century AD. A fine ring of now somewhat corroded silver (surface corrosion), completely uncleaned and as found thus interesting. The seal-stone original to the ring and very nicely engraved showing a bearded head with bird legs.
Ring-Size: 21 mm. wide and 15-16 mm. high. Weight: 8 grams.
Condition: Intact, but difficult wear as it is.
