BEAUTIFUL POTTERY COURT LADY, ON A ROUND PLINT, Chinese Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD).
This type of court lady can be dated to the latest fase of the Ming Dynasty, 1600-1650 AD, since one of the figures from this group was tested By Ralf Kotalla Lab.
The lady is clad in blue robes and black tunics and she holds a string instrument with 5 strings, looking much like an early Guitar. Elaborate hairstyle and finely painted facial details with black white and red pigment.
Size: ca. 23,5 cm.
Condition: Superb for type, glossy glaze and finely preserved pigment.
