XL Ming Dynasty Tomb pottery horseman soldier, c. 1500 AD!
One of a group of the finest Chinese Ming dynasty pottery figures on horse in the world market today!
This figure is dating to the Ming dynasty around 1500 AD. and is very large!. It depicts a exceptionally scultured and detailed horseman - likely a soldier. He is seated on his horse. The soldier is fully glaced with a fantastic lively green jacket which looks like a sort of bodyarmor. The helmet, face and horse are decorated in different colours.
Size: This figure is among the largest Ming horsemen known and measure astonishing ca. 40 cm. in height and about 31-32 cm. in length. The construction is massive and the quality worthy of a museum or a very good private collection.
