A terrific quality very large pottery attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1450-1500 AD.
The male official stands on a very high octagonal plint in a fine two-colour blue glazed robe. Finely painted facial details. The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period. He holds a large vase under his left hand.
Size: c. 49 cm. in height - a very impressive and heavy conversation piece.
Condition: Superb, finely preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs.
