We have three of these very rare notes in stock - all from the famous collection of SWophus Black.
China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1399)Board of revenue, 1 Kuan or 10000 cash, printed on mulberry bark paper and stamped with the red seal of emperor Hung Wu.
Renowned collector and engineer Sofus Black (1882-1960). Black was stationed in China from 1902 to 1931. The present example was bought at a reknown Danish Auctionhouse and has never been on the market since Sofus Black aquired it.
Condition: Nearly Extremely fine, unusually clear ink. Typical thinning and a small tear. Othervise in fantastic condition for the rare type.
One of the better specimens from Sophus Black, estimating ca. $6000 when it was sold at auctions some years ago.
