Here you have an early 18th game who began the game of graces the «flying ring game», also called «the creole», which appeared in the Parisian public parks in spring-summer 1818. This game appreciated by the good company is practiced with a single wand and a soft wooden hoop called «ring», equipped with ribbons and sometimes bells and, as in the future game of graces, covered with a band of velvet. The effect is that of a moving kaleidoscope.

The first known description of the game of graces, which does not yet bear this name, is found in the fourth volume of the Amusements of landscape written by Marie Ambroise Paulin Oilleaux Désormeaux and published in 1826. The author calls this evolution of the flying ring the «game of flying hoops» and presents it as a recent fashion, playing with two wands.

Incredible this game is in original box perfect display for your fashion doll or your wooden early doll.
