This is a charming French doll made by the famous doll's maker François Gaultier. Porcelain head with big paperweight grey-blue eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears. It is marked on the back of the head "FG" in a cartridge and 8 below. It has a red cooking defect at the edge of the head and an overthickness in the porcelain at the front head.
It is a wood body turned and composition all original, with very old repainted on the arms and legs.
She wears a dress in cream and blue silk style, an antique blue velvet capeline, old but very degraded canvas shoes as well as her silk laces and socks.
A blonde hair wig and an old straw hat with a damaged blue silk ribbon. Circa 1890
