Jean-Paul Gaultier was born in 1952 and his jewelry collection was in 1976. He started as an assistant in 1970 with Cardin then moved to Jean Patou. He was deeply influenced by Yves Saint Laurent. He was known as the bad boy of the fashion industry. This amazing 7" long by 1 3/4" enamel and brass bracelet is on the small side as the inside measurement is 6" so possibly fits a 5 1/2" wrist. It is signed JPG on the three links. The enamel colors are so muted and the brass has a wonderful patina.
This is a one of a kind runway piece that may have been worn by the likes of Madonna as it looks totally her style. It fits in many important designer collections.
