This 3" Hallmarked Pendant/Perfume bottle holder is engraved and has ornate initials on the front. The hallmarks are the initials J.G., an anchor, lion and the letter b. John Gilbert's maker's mark was registered in 1868. This is a Birmingham England piece. The b stands for 958 silver. When opened it reveals a perfume vial with Dralle embossed on the side. The top is stuck and cannot be removed. I am not sure if it has snuff in it. On a chain it would make a lovely keepsake necklace.
