Adam Jablonski is world renowned and the foremost Polish glass maker. He started his studio in 1936 and retired in 2010. He is famous for his innovative techniques in glass blowing especially the addition of thin metal wires to the glass making process. This work is hand made by him, is signed with his initials on the bottom and is one of his earlier works.
His work is to be found in the finest galleries around the world and has been presented to prime ministers and dignitaries on many continents. Many of his pieces are in the Corning Glass Museum.
This vase with its undulating purple rim weighs 5.75 pounds and is 12 inches tall and approximately 10 inches in diameter at the top opening.
