This is a beautiful vintage S. T. DuPont lighter. It has been in storage since 1991. It was owned by my father who bought it in Baltimore in the 70s. When used it was treated with great care. At this point it will need a new flint and a refill of specially purified Dupongaz. It is marked 20u (microns) which is the European measurement of thickness of the gold plate. This model was originally made in the 50s/60s. This was made in the early 70s which would make it roughly 45 years old. It is immaculate.
I have tried to get the colour accurately but to no avail. It is a rose gold with no nicks or scratches. Picture number two is pretty close to the actual colour.
These lighters were assigned their own number which had never been used before and never would be used again. They were made in France as was the box. The serial number on the bottom looks like it is on a straight line but if you look closer it is not. I can assure you this is not a fake.
Thank you for looking.
