This book was 'Prepared to aid Users and Producers of Printing in securing Greater Unity and Real Beauty in the Printed Page'. It was produced by Mergenthaler Linotype Company in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1923.
Worth quoting, "The staffs of many printing offices lack any one with sufficient technical knowledge and creative feeling to originate pages beyond the commonplace. As a result, the output suffers from uninspired monotony...." If you are a true lover of typography and not computer generated mediocrity, you will love this book.
It is in mint condition except for the tiniest rubbings on the front cover which you cannot see in most light. My photo does not do it justice. The size is 9.5" x 12.5". As always, thank you for looking.
