This is definitely a collector's item. The quality is superb. I have tried to show the elaborate stitching and detail. The colour has been very hard to capture but if you have access to a Pantone book it would be Pantone 233C.
Jean Muir, whose work is displayed in the Fashion Museum in Bath, England, was known for her modern, restrained elegance. She was a sensualist who cared about how her clothes felt on the wearer not just how they looked to others. She eliminated bust darts as she preferred to mold fabric rather than cut it. In 1984 she was awarded a CBE. She passed away in 1995 leaving a legacy of originality and elegance to the fashion industry.
The measurements are as follows: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam-17 inches; length-24 inches; underarm seam to underarm seam-18 inches. It is a US8, UK10 and was made in England. There are six celluloid buttons on each sleeve and seven at the closure on the back.
Whether you just want a beautiful piece of clothing to wear or are an avid collector of fine clothing this piece will never disappoint.
