This 17" baby doll is a mold 971 by Armand Marseille. It is one of my favorite AM babies with the full cheeks and square jaw. In the first and second photo you will notice the babe has different wigs. The more sparse mohair wig could probably be improved but I am not a great doll hair person. The second wig is a later replacement wig and has the distinction of being part human hair and part synthetic. Both will be included. She has a good head with out cracks, chips or repairs. She has big brown eyes with real lashes and painted lashes. Her left eye when closed falls back a bit into the head. It is still in the plaster hinge securely Her five piece bent-limb body is in nice played with condition. Some places look slightly scrubbed or have light finish off. She holds a position nicely. She is wearing a white pique' dress with blue trim and brass buttons and a white pique' sailor cap. She has cotton undies on and rayon socks with blue stripes at the top and oilcloth tie shoes (later replacements). The last photo shows her with a smaller 971 who is available in our store. They are good friends.
