This pair of all bisque dolls may be German or Japanese. Their great outfits are tightly sewn on and fit so nicely that I don't want to disturb them. The arms are jointed and the legs are rigid. Their taffeta clothing was once a darker purple as seen from the rear views. Her dress has some small holes but is generally strong. His outfit is great with more detailed seamstress work. He even has a wide brimmed hat. She may have had a hat also but it is no longer with her. The dolls have molded bare feet which have been painted black to look like boots. From all the body parts that I can examine there are no chips or repairs. The tops of the arms feel whole under the taffeta. The dolls measure 5-1/4" tall. The photo with the carriage are just to show doll house scale. The carriage is available in our store inventory.
