This sweet little doll was made in Germany by the Recknagel Co. C. 1914. She has a delightful fully articulated body that appears to be fine condition. Her wonderful regional outfit is sewn on and I did not want to remove it, although I have checked it as much as her clothing allows and it has fine paint without chips. I did tighten the neck to legs stringing since it was a bit floppy. Her bodice is velveteen with a wool flannel skirt. She has three petticoats and an apron. She has cotton knee length stockings and blue silk ribbon garters. One of her petticoats is trimmed with the same blue ribbon. Her shoes may be replacements but if so they were custom made for her and fit her wee feet perfectly. She has a blond mohair wig with the original pate within. Her head is marked 1914, DEP, R 15/0 A. She has long painted upper and lower lashes and her eyes open and close. Her head has no damage.
