C. 1850’s green open pontil stopper fruit jar with a heavy laid on top ring. Somewhat larger than a quart. Beautiful color with hundreds of tiny bubbles and no cloudiness. Excellent condition with an outside bubble burst that occurred in creation. Photos taken outdoors and indoors. Possibly made by Hemingway glass company in Cincinnati. Fine specimen of early American glass. Top opening 4”, base diameter 5.5”
