Impressive set of six small sterling goblets made in 1903 by London silversmith Thomas William Dobson(1824-1905) in floral reposse form. Thomas inherited the retail firm at 32 Piccadilly from his father Henry in 1886 and operated it until his death in 1905. The firm was well known for holloware, particularly table items. Matching hallmarks on all are on the upper rim and “Dobson Piccadilly” underneath on all of them. Has a gold wash interior and a good weight for their size. Photos taken indoors and also in direct sunlight. Excellent overall condition with only age appropriate wear. Height 3.6”. Weight 22 ounces.
