An American, probably New York, classical stenciled and polychrome painted chest of drawers with upper mirror. In a high of originality, this walnut chest remarkably still retains it first decoration an stylized brass drawer hardware. The only wear to the finish is, as expected, the first long drawer. The mirror or and structure is removable. The secondary wood is poplar. One arm of the mirror support has an old hard to see repair. Otherwise, only scattered paint loss and imperfections. Measures 63.5”h x 36”wide x 23.5” deep. A true collector’s piece.
