C. 1780 American two part sixteen pane walnut corner cupboard with poplar as the secondary wood, probably southern. Much scarcer than 19th century corner cupboards. Has two dovetailed angular drawers and recessed panel lower doors. Structurally sound and held together nearly entirely with wooden pegs. Nicely scalloped upper shelves and a single lower shelf. Mostly original panes. Has a mellow nut brown color. Professionally restored long ago, including bracket base, drawer edges and bracing slats on the inside of the upper doors to hold the pains in place. Measures 85" tall X 47" wide.
