A scarce diminutive George III period English chest of drawers, c. 1780, with writing slide. Has four hand dovetailed beaded graduated drawers and dovetailed case. Much of the hardware handles are original; three of the four locks are original. Has a mellow nut brown color and fine time worn patina. Primary wood is mahogany(top, sides,front, drawers,writing slide base); secondary woods are oak(drawers) and pine(dust covers). High state of originality including bracket feet and blocking. Measures 32"wide X 31"high X 18"deep.
