A quart size aqua fruit jar embossed "SUN TRADE MARK". The base is embossed " JP BARSTOW ".This ground lip jar was made between 1894 and 1903. The jar is from the same 30 + year old collection of jars that I have been posting. The closure on this jar is missing. The patent was issued to Frederick and Elizabeth Monier of New Britain, CT for the Barstow Fruit Jar Company of Jersey City, New Jersey. The jar is in very good condition with only a minor lip flake and a faint base ring that would likely clean out. Measures 7.5"high.
