A quart sized Aqua fruit jar embossed "Millville Improved" with WT&Co in a central monogram. It has a ground top and glass lid embossed "Whitehall's Patent June 18, 1861". The jar was patented by John M. Whithall of Philadelphia, PA. The maker was Whithall, Tatum & Company of Millville, N. J.. And the jar was made from 1861 to the 1880's. The jar is good condition with only two chips to the ground top ( not noticeable when the lid is on)as negatives. It is nicely embossed,clear, and the lid is excellent. measures 7.25 inches high.
