A smoothe lip apple green pint size fruit jar with the common embossing patented by John Landis Mason in 1858 and used extensively for many years. The jar is in excellent condition with only the expected minor lip roughness. It has strong embossing, is bubbly, and has no haze. The cap is the typical zinc and porcelain one used generically on Mason and other jars. Of the many varieties of this jar the one here for sale is scarce because of its color and in the more desirable size. Height with the cap on is on is 5.5".
