An aqua hand blown, ground lip quart fruit jar embossed "PATdFeb9th1864(arching)W.W.LYMAN(straight line)47". No closure. Patented by William W. Lyman of Meriden, CT in 1862. Made by William McCully and Co. of Pittsburgh, PA from 1862 to 1867. This is an absolutely beautiful jar with bold embossing, very clear and bubbly. In excellent condition except for minor lip roughness in one area. Height is 7.75".
