Circa 1945-1950 American "Southern Bell" workboat. An authentic and faithful model of the famous telephone company complete to the last detail. All original condition, with only minor paint loss. Have owned it over 25 years and bought it from a retired antique dealer in Virginia. Built in two sections, the pulley system that operated the paddlewheel can be seen in the lower section photo. Not only are the widows and doors individually made, but so is the interior furniture with beds, tables, chairs, and the captain's room even has a pot belly stove. The wiring for everything is present and, with someone who has a tinkerers talent, the light and pulleys could be made to work. An incredible piece. Fragile to move. Measures 63"long X 23"high X 17"deep.
