A large pair of old Sheffield plate candelabra top sections with three part candle arms each, silver on copper, c. 1800. These have the fold over edges method that was used from 1790-1840 in England before electroplating came into use. The pieces are complete with original bobeches and center finial. They are in good, unpolished condition, with only a minimum of copper showing on the edges. One holder edge is bent and the finials have areas of imperfection. The rest of it is has only age appropriate wear. The candle cup holders and the reeded arms are in excellent condition. Each section measures 19.5"wide with a maximum height of 8".
