A very large and colorful patio scene, signed indistinctly lower right, c.1950. Another fine oil on canvas with bold brush strokes from the Marqusee estate of Boca Raton, Fl. Charles Marqusee was fondly known as the "founder of Boca Raton" having given to many philanthropic causes including donating land for the first post office, funding the first hospital, and building Boca Raton West. This painting is in excellent unrestored condition and is in fine original frame with a New York City label. A small no harm indentation in the canvas in the lower left corner is worth mentioning. The artist's effective use of sunlight permeates the painting and its bold shades of green blend nicely. Measures 30" X 40"(unframed) and 38" X 48"(framed).
