A tall and distinctive pair of French verde antico vases with bronze mounts and feet, c. 1880. The vases are in excellent condition with only very minor no show chips to the marble edges along the stepped plinth, as one would expect of pieces of this age. Impressive are the fine details in the bronze mounts, most noteworthy the handles with lion masks, both typical of the French Empire style. The feet height is adjustable so they can be in perfect balance on a given surface. The pair would be well suited for numerous spots in the home, such as on either side of a mantel. They measure 15.74"high X 5"square at the base.
