A fine c. 1780 George III wing chair recovered in a beautiful wine colored velour and edge beading. Very well proportioned with verticality and balance of design. Base structure is mahogany; frame is beech, with very minor inactive powder post beetle holes. Castors are very old additions but the feet are full length. Condition overall is excellent and it is comfortable and ready to use. Measures 47"high x 33"wide at the arms.
