18th c. American Chippendale Chest
Circa 1780 Mid-Atlantic Chippendale period solid walnut chest of drawers in very good condition. Secondary wood is eastern white pine. Has a one board top, four graduated drawers in fine working order, and straight bracket feet. Very desirable small size and mellow nut brown color. Top has its history of usage complete with stains and scratches. Minor restorations such as drawer runner adjustments and replacement of lost glue blocks, and bracket foot repair. The drawer handles are old replacements and one lock is missing. The chest measures 33.5"high x 36"case width x 21"deep.
