Tall and distinctive pair of sterling silver weighted candlesticks made by James Dixon and Sons in Sheffield, England in 1924. They are fine examples of the Georgian columnar cluster style. The company was begun in 1806 by James Willis Dixon. In addition to Sterling items they made a wide range of objects in pewter and silver plate. The firm continued operation as a family operation until 1976. These candlesticks are in excellent condition, having only a shallow indentation the base side of one candlestick. The bobeches are original and, like the candlesticks, are fully hallmarked. The candlesticks are 10" tall.
