Fine c. 1820 satinwood and mahogany tea caddy in very good "as found" condition. The caddy is constructed in the late federal style. It retains a great state of originality including the inlaid central paterae, the hinges and brass pull, the inset bone escutcheon and lid handles, and silver paper lined interior compartments. It has several small repairs and losses to the ebony edge trim and other imperfections associated with usage over a long period of time. It measures 7.5"w x 5"h x 4"d.
