C. 1875 aqua half gallon hand blown with applied lip fruit jar embossed "Moore's" Patent Dec. 3rd 1861". Made by John M. Moore of Fishlerville, NJ. The lid has a slight inward lean on one side. It is my opinion that because of this lean the jar did not have the glass and iron yoke associated with this jar, and was probably never used. The jar is in excellent condition. There are no hairlines, bruises, or chips. The color and embossing are strong. A pint size of this jar sold for $550 in 2005. The jar measures 9.5"high x 4.5" diameter.
