A mid- size c. 1710 walnut English chair with later fabric covering in fair condition. It has the typical style of chair turnings on English seating furniture during the William and Mary period. A back post has an old repair and is still a little loose, and one side rail is an old replacement. Other scuffs, wear and old powder post beetle holes are in evidence. That said, the chair retains a wonderful old finish and patina and is an unusual size. The chair measures 30"high at the back x 17"wide at the seat x 16"high to the seat.
