An early New Orleans, Louisiana silver gelatin real photograph, matted and framed. The scene is Lafitte's Blacksmith's House on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The age of this photo is estimated to be c. 1915- 1925. Jean Lafitte was a pirate, entrepreneur, sailor, spy and helped Andrew Jackson win the Battle of New Orleans. Lafitte's was built before 1772 and is one of the oldest structures in New Orleans, and considered the oldest continuously occupied bar in the US. The photo measures 15.75" high x 14.25"wide (framed) and 7.75"high x 9.25"wide.
