Fine c.1780 George III period mahogany and mahogany veneer bow fronted sideboard with spade feet, in high Georgian form. The sideboard has string, panel and banded inlays of maple, satinwood, and ebony. It is superbly constructed as one can see from the photos. All the expertly dovetailed drawers are built angular to fit the contour of the bow front. On the right side facing the piece is the original lead lined wine storage area and on the lower left side is the humidor. The top is a single thick sheet of mahogany veneer. The sideboard is in excellent restored condition and is structurally sound with a nice polished finish that really brings out the beauty of the wood. The brass rail has been reconfigured with some original parts. The brasses are old but not likely original but appropriate for the period of construction. The sideboard measures 78.5"w x 36.5"h x 30"d.
