Fine period American serpentine mahogany sideboard. Found in the attic of a large barn near Norfolk, VA and its origin is attributed to that area. The sideboard has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition. An all over brown stain was removed and a bracer board added underneath to prevent sag. All structural parts are original and free of any repair. The brasses are old replacements in the manner of the original. The sideboard is beautifully string inlaid with maple and ebony. The interior retains its original mustard colored paint which is over coated with brown stain. The measurements are 74" long x 40.25"high x 28"deep.
