Fine large English pair of silver serving spoons made by Peter, Ann, and William Bateman in London in 1800. Excellent condition with no visible wear to the bowl and clear hallmarks. No damage or repair, only the scuffs and general wear from long usage. No monograms. The tips have engraved bumble bees. The Bateman family is well chronicled in the history of English silversmithing and their work is considered to be of the highest quality. The serving spoons weigh a total of 4 ounces and are 8.75" long.
