C. 1820 American decanter in clear glass, blown in a mold and bearing the graphite pontil scar on the bottom. Very good condition with only very slight lip roughness and a little inner cloudiness. It bears similar characteristics to #5 on plate 83 in Helen McKearin's AMERICAN GLASS, including the sunburst and swirl features. In all likelihood the stopper is original. It measures 10.75"tall and has a diameter of 4.75".
