This is a very large c. 1860-1880 Japanese Arita blue and white charger with green accents of the Meiji period. Depicted centrally amidst the birds and peonies are a rooster and hen, all in great detail. On the underside are more birds and florals with a central Hichozan inscription of six characters. The charger is in excellent condition except for some light scratches that are barely visible in photo enlargements. It measures 3.5"high and 22" in diameter.
