Tall and distinctive pair of sterling silver weighted candlesticks made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company in 1910. Gorham had a showroom in London by 1904 and purchased a factory in Birmingham in 1909 that operated until it closed in 1914. The design of the candlesticks is in the popular form of an urn on a raised pedestal. These candlesticks were, in all probability, made in the Birmingham factory for the London showroom; hence, they have London marks. They have their original fully hallmarked bobeches. The candlesticks have a script monogram, a small hard to see dent under the bobeche of one candlestick, and a few small base pings. Otherwise they are in excellent condition and stand straight. They measure 12.3"high and 5"wide at the base.
