Pair of sterling(.925) weighted candlesticks made by Wilhelm T. Binder, master German silversmith who founded his own factory in 1868 in Schwabische Gmund, Germany. It is important to note that most German silver made is .800 silver which is less than the sterling standard of .925. The candlesticks are in the Art Deco stlye and era and date to c. 1920. These candlesticks are in excellent condition and have been well taken care of so that they have an impressive luster. Each has one small shallow indentation around the edge of the base that is virtually unnoticeable. They measure 10.5"high and have a base diameter of 5.5".
